Quick Asian Marinade

This mixture adds lots of flavor with little effort. It would pair well with salmon or your favourite meat. You could even marinate some vegetables in it and throw them on the grill.

1/3 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon crushed red-pepper flakes


Combine soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper in a heavy, resealable plastic food-storage bag; add salmon, seal bag and refrigerate at least 20 minutes but no longer than 2 hours. Remove salmon from marinade and roast as in recipe.
