Nutty Apple Butter
Got fresh-picked apples and peanut butter? That’s virtually all you’ll need to make this creamy riff on PB&J. Dunk in sliced fruit or graham crackers, or spread it on a sandwich.

- 4 lb apples peeled and chopped
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground allspice
- 1/4 cup peanut butter creamy
- In greased 5-qt. (4.73 L) slow cooker, combine the first seven ingredients. Cook, covered, on low 8 to 10 hours or until apples are tender.
- Whisk in peanut butter until apple mixture is smooth. Cool to room temperature. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
