Ingredients

1/4 cup (50 mL) butter
1 cooking onion, chopped
1 stalk celery
1/4 cup (50 mL) flour
1 cup (250 mL) milk
1 cup (250 mL) stock (turkey or chicken)
2 cups (500 mL) chopped cooked turkey
1 cup (250 mL) frozen vegetables
1/2 tsp (2 mL) sage
Pepper to taste
Biscuit mix, enough for 6 – 2

Directions

Heat butter in skillet. Add onion and celery and sauté until onion is soft. Stir in flour. Slowly add milk and stock. Stir until thickened. Add turkey, vegetables, sage, and pepper. Place in 2-quart (2.5 L) casserole dish. Prepare biscuit mix according to package directions. Bake in a 450°F (230°C) oven for 15 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.

Makes 6 servings.
