Spot the Loonie

Did you Spot the Loonie in the latest issue of Our Canada magazine? Here's how to enter!

After Canada won gold in men’s and women’s hockey at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Team Canada Executive Director Wayne Gretzky revealed our secret weapon: The Canadian ice makers hired to prepare the rink had hidden a Loonie under centre ice. Gretzky later donated the lucky Loonie to the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.

Now we’ve hidden a Loonie—and it’s somewhere in this issue of Our Canada. Can you find it? It could be anywhere or any size, lurking in a photo or hiding in a headline (but it’s not the one on this page)! And we’ll hide one in every issue.

If you spot the Loonie, just fill the form below.

The first five correct answers we draw will win $50. Good luck! Please read the Spot the Loonie Rules here.
