Special diet :
2-1/2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 stick butter
1 can (5.33 ounces) evaporated milk
1 jar (7-1/2 ounces) marshmallow creme
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate pieces
Grease a 9-inch square baking pan; set aside. In a large saucepan, combine sugar, salt, butter, evaporated milk, and marshmallow creme. Stir over low heat until blended. Heat to a rolling boil, being careful not to mistake escaping air bubbles for boiling. Boil, stirring constantly, 5 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and chocolate until chocolate is melted. Pour into greased pan and cool completely before cutting into squares.
