4 endives, halved lengthwise
45 ml (3 tbsp) butter
175 ml (⅔ cup / 75 g) grated Parmesan
1 ml (¼ tsp) grated nutmeg
- Preheat oven to 210°C / 425°F.
- In a non-stick skillet, melt the butter. Place the endives face down and cook over medium heat, turning once to brown both sides lightly.
- Transfer the endives to a buttered oven-to-table baking dish.
- Sprinkle with the cheese and nutmeg and bake for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly and the endives are tender.
- Serve immediately.
