Maple Old Fashioned
“This classic stirred cocktail calls for angostura bitters. If you don’t have any bitters available, strong black coffee makes a great substitute.” – Chris Jacks
- 2 oz whisky
- 1/2 oz maple syrup
- 2 dashes angostura bitters (or strong brewed black coffee)
- Add ingredients to a large water glass. Add a few cubes of ice. Stir for 20 seconds. Strain into rocks glass. Serve with single large ice cube.
Large cube molds are easy enough to find online, but you can also dig through the cupboards and repurpose small plastic food containers as custom ice cube trays.
