600g (20 oz) fresh asparagus, peeled
45 ml (3 tbsp) olive oil
45 ml (3 tbsp) water
75 ml (⅓ cup) pine nuts


  1. In a large skillet, place the asparagus, oil and water. Season with salt and pepper and cook until the water has completely evaporated, shaking the pan from time to time.
  2. Add the pine nuts and continue cooking until browned.
