Ingredients

1 can, 396 ml / 14 oz    Italian plum tomatoes, drained and seeded
8 cloves    garlic, peeled and halved
45 ml / 3 tbsp    olive oil   
1 sprig    thyme, stemmed
30 ml / 2 tbsp    olive oil
340 g / 3/4 lb    oyster mushrooms, cleaned and halved
To taste    salt
10 ml / 2 tsp    walnut oil

Directions

Preheat the broiler.

Drain the tomatoes on a clean towel.

Arrange the tomatoes and garlic on a baking sheet. Drizzle with the first amount of oil and sprinkle with thyme.

Broil 25 cm / 6” from the element, turning several times, until both garlic and tomatoes are well done. Set aside in the cooking juices.

In a large skillet, heat the second amount of oil. Add the mushrooms, salt to taste and sauté on both sides over high heat to soften and brown lightly.

Place the mushrooms and tomatoes on a serving platter. Drizzle with walnut oil and serve at room temperature.
