Highlights of Journey:

– The people we met along our Journey, especially at the start of our journey in Newfoundland, were unbelievable. They opened their hearts and homes to us by providing us with meals, lodging and hospitality.

Highlights of Journey:

– At the start of the journey I tied a pink ribbon on my handle bar to show support for my friend Sandra who was battling breast cancer. During the journey whenever the going got tough I would look at the pink ribbon and it would remind me that the challenge that I was facing was small compared to the challenge for those who were battling cancer. We stayed with Sandra and her husband Terry when we cycled through Waterloo, Ont. It was good seeing that she was winning her battle with breast cancer.

Highlights of Journey:

– Encounter with a moose, along the Trans Canada Trail in New Brunswick. Just as we were completing a turn, there it was about 10′ in front of us feeding on a branch. It was more startled that we were. We also saw bears and deers along our journey.
