2. Prop Up Uneven Furniture

Got an unsteady table or an uneven floor lamp? Fold up a piece of newspaper and place it underneath to balance things out. It’s even better if the legs are metal because the newspaper will keep your floors from getting wrecked or stained from rust.

3. Make a Paper Mache Piñata

Bring out your inner child. Mix 2 parts liquid glue with 1 part water and dab the paste on newspaper pieces around a balloon (leave out a small area at the bottom). Let dry and then use colourful acrylic paint to decorate it in true Mexican fashion. Finally, pop the balloon with a pin, fill with candy and tape up the bottom, then hang it and whack away!
