Towing Capacity

Imagine that it’s a gorgeous winter morning and you and your friends decide to hit the slopes. You skip the chairlift and instead take turns driving each other up the powdery hills in your powerful, dependable Toyota Tundra or Tacoma. Not needing a lift ticket—that’s an Act of Truck.

What are Acts of Truck? Far beyond the off-road capability, towing capacity and performance, it’s not just what your Toyota Tundra or Tacoma can do, but what you can do with your Toyota truck. In other words, Acts of Truck call for the smarts and toughness of Toyota trucks—and their drivers.

Take a read through some of the features that set Toyota trucks apart.

Need to haul a boat or a few motorbikes? Check. How about pulling out a tree stump? These Acts of Truck are no problem for the Toyota Tacoma or Toyota Tundra (above).

Tacoma offers up to 6,500 pounds of towing capacity, and it has a large cargo bed with tie-down cleats, rear step bumper, and easy lower and lift tailgate. Plus, each V6 Tacoma is equipped with a towing package that includes 7-pin wire harness and trailer sway control.

Need even more power? With 10,000 pounds of towing capacity, Tundra is up to any task you throw at it. It comes with a heavy-duty tow hitch receiver, 4- and 7-pin connectors, a supplemental transmission cooler and trailer brake controller. It also features front tow hooks.

Off-Road Capability

The TRD Off-road package is available for select Tundra models and includes fuel tank protector plates, 18-inch off-road alloy wheels and all-terrain tires. The package even features its own exterior colour, “Inferno”.

Highlights of Tacoma TRD Pro include 16-inch black alloy wheels with Wrangler® All-Terrain Kevlar®-reinforced tires, Fix Shock Absorbers and TRD Reservoir Suspension Kit. Plus, Tacoma has a standard GoPro mount, to capture all your Acts of Truck adventures for posterity.

Power and Durability

Tacoma is engineered for serious adventures; its heavy-duty suspension has shock absorbers that can handle everything from the smallest potholes to the most challenging off-road trails. With both 4-cylinder and V6 options available, you can have the Tacoma that meets your needs perfectly.

The Tundra is also built to over-perform: Featuring the largest displacement of any engine in Toyota’s history, the V8 engine generates an impressive 381 horsepower. It comes with heavy-duty suspension and enormous 13.9-inch front brake rotors and 4-piston calipers.

Designed in North America and made in North America, Toyota Trucks are as dependable as they come. Over 85% of Toyotas sold in Canada in the last 20 years are still on the road today*, which tells you that you can rely on a Toyota’s durable construction
