Ingredients

1-½ lbs (500-750 g) steak, ½-¾
½ cup (125 mL) soy sauce
¼ cup (50 mL) EACH pineapple juice, cider vinegar and brown sugar
1 tsp (5 mL) minced garlic
1 tsp (5 mL) fresh gingerroot or ½ tsp
(2 mL) ground ginger

Directions

Cut steak into serving pieces. Combine remaining ingredients and place in shallow dish. Pierce steak pieces on both sides numerous times with a fork. Place in marinade and turn a couple of times to completely coat; let stand for up to 15 minutes. Broil or grill for 6-8 minutes, turning once and brushing frequently with marinade. Discard remaining marinade or thicken with cornstarch and boil for 10 minutes to serve as a sauce.
