Donald Proctor of Campbell River B.C., writes, “Made of cast iron, this looks like a press of some kind. It appears that something goes in between the plates and then you press on the handle and it gets squeezed in between. The word Sultana is on the top and it also says “Hecho En” and then the word Mexico. When you press the handle down and the plates come together, there is absolutely no space for anything!” So readers, can anyone shed any light on what this object is used for?
