1. The Forks
The Forks—which gets its name from its position at the junction of the Assiniboine and Red rivers—is known as Winnipeg’s meeting place. Here you’ll find the sprawling Forks Market, one of the best places in Winnipeg to browse for food and gifts in an indoor setting. It’s also smack-dab in the middle of most of Winnipeg’s major attractions, including the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, the Manitoba Children’s Museum, the Manitoba Theatre for Young People, the Goldeyes baseball field and the atmospheric Cathédrale de Saint-Boniface.
