Mothers have all kinds of wisdom and witticisms to share with their kids. In fact they tell us so many things every day of our lives, it's hard to remember them all. Fortunately, Anita Renfroe can help

What kind of witty, wonderful sayings did your mom share with you? One of my favourites-and one that probably went a long way to shaping who I am-is "You can do anything you put your mind to." There's nothing like a parent's unconditional belief to build your self-esteem.

A couple of others my mom always threw out were:

"One of these days your face is going to freeze like that."

"If all your friends jumped off the Jacques-Cartier bridge, would you?" (No cliffs in Montreal, so she went with the closest structure that fit the bill.)

I'm sure your moms threw out some of these same phrases. But maybe you heard others as you were growing up. And if you're a mom now, which ones do you use with your kids?
