Reader's Digest Canadian Operations implements its recession plan
Due to the challenging economic environment, Reader's Digest Canadian Operations announced in early February that they would be implementing a recession plan. This plan includes various measures aimed at reducing costs such as implementing unpaid company shutdown days, travel and discretionary expenses as well as implementing processes to increase efficiencies. This plan was developed in order to minimize abolishing positions as much as possible, resulting in a total reduction of 15 permanent jobs in Canada. >>
