Your Two Cents: What's the Worst or Best Christmas Gift You've Ever Received?
Whatever is it, we want to know what the best and worst holiday gifts you've ever come across are.

With Christmas gift exchanges right around the corner (and some of us still not done our holiday shopping!) we got to thinking: what's the worst Christmas present you've ever received? An unwanted, half-empty bottle of wine? Used clothing? The obvious regift? Or maybe you've received a really great present, like a thoughtful scrapbook or something with lots of sentimental value. Whatever is it, we want to know what the best and worst holiday gifts you've ever come across are.

Our spinster aunt knew how to pinch a penny until it squeaked. The gifts (!) she gave my sister and I when we were 12 and 13 was a little more than a yard of crepe fabric, one in bottle green and the other dirt brown. The previous year we received a battered-looking board game with some of the pieces missing...she liked shopping at Sears Bargain Centre. But I still love her.
When I was about nine years old, we had a field frozen with ice. Lots of people were skating and I was trying on someones big skates. Those were poor years and Christmas was coming up. Christmas morning I woke up and next to my bed was a pair of skates, they were second hand but I was so happy it didn't matter. Even to this day I feel that was my best Christmas gift I ever had.
Grade seven - 1968, week before Christmas, fell and broke my ankle. Resulting me In a cast from the knee down for 8 weeks. Money was not plentiful, gifts had been bought carefully for my two brothers and myself, We lived in a small community where most gifts were purchased through the Sears catalogue. What did I get that Christmas - skates and skii's, Thank God my mom always included booksfor me as I loved to read and I think a rushed trip to the nearest town with some better shopping provided me with a yellow battery opperated transistor radio.Being an outdoor person I could only look at my skates and skii's while the others were out using theirs.
