Jodi Gustafson of Whitehorse took a year off from her university studies to volunteer in various countries around the world. She went looking for something more that what she could learn from books and definitely found it! Now set on a career path she is passionate about, she may never have discovered it had she not taken a gap year.     I didn't take a gap year but I did go on exchange and studied for a year abroad. Best decision ever! http://www.readersdigest.ca/our-canada/johanna/taking-leap

    I was living at home while at university so I didn't feel like I was getting the full experience. Moving across an ocean to see what it's like to live and study in another country added immensely to my university years and to my studies!
