A friend and colleague here at work told me that every Friday night she goes home and reads my blog, not because she feels obligated to—which is why I assume most people I know read it—but just because she enjoys it! It was one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me. She then, half-jokingly, asked if I could write something funny this week as she could use a laugh. Now, anyone who’s ever attempted to purposely write something funny knows it never works, the minute you tell yourself, “be funny” you automatically write something stiff and dull—it’s the humour Gods’ version of Murphy’s Law. 

Besides, humour is very subjective, what might have me wetting my pants (Herman cartoons, Seinfeld, blooper reels of news anchors losing it on the air) could just as easily cause no more than a snicker in the next guy.

Here in the office we have quite a few laughs while putting the magazine together, usually during our weekly production meetings; one time we all dressed in Halloween costumes and filmed ourselves, if I can find the incriminating video I’ll post it. 

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love a good laugh (and frankly I wouldn’t want to) the question is, what tickles your funny bone? I’m attaching a video that has caused me to fall off my chair on more than one occasion, do you agree? Disagree? What causes you to snort coffee out your nose? And if you do have a funny tale, to tell send it to us, we might have it illustrated and publish it!
