Screwdrivers

Robertson screwdriver, usually color-coded according to size, can reach screws that are sunk below the surface in furniture. The square drive provides high torque power. Recommended sizes: #6, #8, #10.

Phillips screwdriver, the most common type of cross-head screwdriver, fits snugly into a Phillips-head screw. The cross design of the tip provides a better grip than a slotted screwdriver. Recommended sizes: small, medium, and large.

Standard (slotted) screwdriver fits slotted screws. The flared tip (left) works best on round- or oval-headed screws. Recommended sizes: small, medium, and large.
