Milanese Penne

Ingredients

450g (1lb) penne, cooked
250g (½ lb) sausage meat
15ml (1 tbsp) olive oil
120ml (½ cup) whipping cream
2.5ml (½ tsp) saffron
60ml (4 tbsp) grated Parmesan
Salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Remove the skin from sausages and set meat aside.
  2. In a large saucepan, heat olive oil. Add sausage meat and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Add cream and saffron to the pan and salt and pepper. Let the mixture cook on medium heat for 5 minutes.
  4. Add penne to sauce and mix well, until penne is reheated.
  5. Serve topped with grated Parmesan.
