Ingredients
4 cups dry red wine½ cup sugar
½ cup brandy or cognac
1 cinnamon stick
¼ tsp. ground cloves
1/8 tsp. ground allspice
1/8 tsp. salt
1 orange (sliced thin)
½ lemon (sliced thin)
Directions
Combine ingredients in a pot over low heat. Bring to a simmer; let sit for at least 1 hour.
