Serves: 4 to 6
Ingredients
2 lbs (1 kg) ground beef
1 onion, chopped fine
1 clove garlic, minced
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp (30 mL) ketchup
1 tbsp (15 mL) Dijon mustard
1 tsp (5 mL) dried basil
1/2 tsp (2 mL) chili powder
1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt
1/2 tsp (2 mL) pepper
Directions
- In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, ketchup, Dijon mustard, basil, chili powder, salt and pepper. Use your hands to shape mixture into 4 or 6 patties.
- Grill patties for 10 to 12 minutes, or until well done. Place on hamburger buns and use your favourite toppings.
